Anniversary of the September 11 Attacks

As the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks approaches, the U.S. Mission to South Africa reminds U.S. citizens of the need for caution and awareness of personal security. While there are threats against U.S. citizens everywhere, there are groups in the region who are intent on harming U.S. citizens and U.S. interests.

Review your personal security plans; remain aware and vigilant of your surroundings, including local events, monitor local news stations for updates and follow instructions from local authorities. Be vigilant and take appropriate steps to enhance your personal security.
