In this episode of our Meet The AlumnU.S. series,  Benjamin Jephta shares more about his journey and what inspires his music, talks about going on an exchange program to the U.S. and why young change-makers should stay true to who they really are.

Benjamin’s experience of OneBeat was of the power of music to unify cultures and communities, “We were 25 musicians from 17 different countries. Vastly different genres of music coming together, trying to create, I guess, one sound, one beat, and at the same time tackling social issues within the community… showing how, we as people from different backgrounds, can come together and play together and create one sound and be unified together. I think that was an awesome experience”

OneBeat is a U.S. government-funded program which brings together musicians from around the world to travel America and collaborate with artists from other genres to create music together.
