“GeneratioNEXT” Promotes Opportunities for Local Youth

Consulate Durban’s “GeneratioNEXT” youth leaders hosted a July 11 Career Expo at KwaMashu Township, north of Durban.  The event brought young people face-to-face with NGOs, businesses, and educational institutions in KwaZulu-Natal.

Exhibitors included the University of KwaZulu- Natal, the South African Department of Labor, Activate Changer Drivers, and KZN Youth Empowerment Project. The U.S. Consulate’s Public Affairs Section also hosted a booth with information on

GeneratioNEXT members said they want to highlight opportunities for young people to play a meaningful role in the economic development of the South Africa.
