An online appointment system is currently used at the U.S. Consulate General Durban. Routine passport/citizenship and notarial services are by appointment only.
The U.S. Consulate General in Durban, a branch of the U.S. Diplomatic Mission to South Africa, is located at Delta Towers in Durban’s CBD and is headed by Consul General Anne Linnee. We are the Mission’s representatives to the people as well as the business and academic communities.
The Consulate General provides U.S. consular services in KwaZulu-Natal. Consular services include help for Americans with emergencies as well as help with documents like passports and reports of birth. We help non-Americans with non-immigrant visas to the U.S..
Important Notice: With few exceptions, no information regarding a U.S. citizen overseas may be released to any individual without a Privacy Act waiver signed by the U.S. citizen for which an inquiry has been made.

The U.S. Consulate Durban processes Non-Immigrant visas only for Kwazulu-Natal Province.
Please Note: There is no public parking available for consular clients in the building which houses the U.S. Consulate General in Durban. Paid Parking is available at several public parking garages in the area. Parking garages closest to the Consulate General in Durban include: the Royal Hotel, the Workshop shopping center and Pine Parkade.
