Location: U.S. Consulate General Johannesburg, 1 Sandton Drive
Event: The Vaal Environmental Alliance will lead a march through Sandton on Friday, November 19th beginning at 10:00. The march is protesting the SASOL AGM meeting and not directed at the U.S. Consulate. However, the planned route will take the protestors up Sandton Drive and past the Consulate on their way to the SASOL offices. Traffic congestion in the area is anticipated. The route will head east from the park along Sandton Drive, then along Katherine Street up to the SASOL Head Office at 50 Katherine Street. Protestors should disperse at 13:00.

- Avoid the areas of the demonstrations.
- Exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.
- Monitor local media for updates.
- Keep a low profile.
