Event: The U.S. Mission to South Africa is aware of media reports that the water levels in the dams that supply water to the Nelson Mandela Bay metro area in the Eastern Cape Province are critically low.
Actions to Take:
- Monitor local media for updates;
- Conserve water and follow recommendations at Save Like a Local;
- Check the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality website for up-to-date information and guidance on how to manage water consumption;
- Enroll in Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive updates; and
